summer break
Sorry I haven't posted here in ages, but I've been busy doing all sorts of things over the summer.
So here is a summary of the summer 2007, so far.
Me and the boyfriend have been fixing up moms garden, making a small bonfire/barbecue place, cutting down various trees, fixing two stone fences, did some work on her veranda stairs and other misc. gardening work.
We've also been riding horsie and generally looking after her, stopping by and grooming her, cleaning her hoofs and suchlike, and my son sat on her for the very first time^^
He was very proud of himself that day :)
And now, seeing as it's August, I'm currently on Cloudberry-patrol to make sure I get to pick them first, before anybody else^^ This means a trip to Hoyvik every week, once a week. And I am pleased to report that the berries are coming along just fine, thank you^^
Also, next week or thereabouts it will be the annual Varangerfestival, witch started as a jazz-festival some 25 years ago, and that means a Big celebration this year^^ About the same time we also have the Vadsø festival. This is a trading festival where local businesses in Vadso open their doors with offers on goods and services. On every streetcorner you will find something different to do or see - russians selling their beautiful glasses, icons and more or a fashion show, auctions, entertainment for the children and much, much more.
And to end all this fun, the very start of next month is also my 28.th birthday, so yay for me. :)
