Norwegian humor

I am not gonna try to explain it, I just like it, but there may be a chanse of me beeing biased^^

Anyways, the two Funniest norwegian contemporary humor groups today, in my opinion, is RaskeMenn and Ylvis.

Here are a few reasons why. I am truly sorry its in norwegian, just trust me, its good stuff.

RaskeMenn og Verdenshistorien på 5 minutter

And, as a treat for english readers,  RaskeMenns 5 minutes World History (same as above link, with english subtitles, not made by me)

RaskeMenn Pornosangen (ikke bra for jobb, men æ lo så tåran rant )

And Ylvis:

Pepperkakebakesangen (Dnort, I think you may like this one)

Reven På Hønsejakt

So, the facts are:

RaskeMenn consists of

Anders Hoff, Calle Hellevang-Larsen and Oivind Rafto. Their debut was Sept.12 in 2003. They have been touring all over the country with their show, aptly named «The Fast Show», from 2003 to today. Their last performance with this show is due in May this year in Oslo. And in 09 they will have a brand new stageshow.

Ylvis is made up of two brothers,

Baard and Vegard Ylvisaaker who both are younger than me ... but despite that, they are both old men in showbiz in Norway as they started in 2000.^^ They allready have had their own radio show, tv series and stageshows.

If you ever get a chanse, I highly recommend that you go see a show of either group, they are both hysterical, witty, and musical if you like that as well.

fun videos

you know, when Michael Jacksons "Thriller" was released in 1982, I was not very old.

Of curse, my sisters were teenagers then, so they bought it, and me beeing a kid with a very active imagination when I first heard that song it scared me silly. Now, fast forward till today, when I go on YouTube, and find that a man from India made an indian version of the song, and that another YouTuber, named Buffalax, has written what he thinks the indian subtitles sound like in english, your in for a ... interresting new version of a Classic, namely:

"Indian Thriller the Buffalax way" Girly Man indeed^^

and then I found out this Buffalax have subtitled a few other songs too.. like :

Boten Anna by Basshunter, wich is swedish, making this one doubly fun for me, as I can understand what Basshunter really is singing^^

and oldie but still a goodie, Djengish Khan^^ I may be wrong, but wasn't this song once in the Eurovision Song Contest back in the day?

and back to India, a song from a movie. I don't know the real name of it, but, having seen my fair share of Bollywood films lately, Im guessing it has Nothing to do with Benny Lava, and all to do with Love.

And to end things, just cause I like Bollywood, and the beautiful Aishwarya Rai, here she is in the movie Shakti singing the song Ishq Kameena

Have a great weekend people^^

STAR WARS subtitled in 1337 (LEET)

First, a little explanation, from Wikipedia on LEET or 1337.

1337, or LEET is a linguistic phenomenon associated with the Internet. Leet is defined in terms of the corruption or modification of written text. For example, the term "leet" itself is often written "l33t" or "1337". Such corruptions are frequently referred to as "Leetspeak" or "L33t5p34k," et cetera (see below for cipher definitions). In addition to corruption of standard language, new colloquialisms have been added to the parlance. It is also important to note that Leet itself is not solely based upon one language or character set. In fact, Greek, Russian, Chinese and other languages have been subjected to the Leet "cipher". As such, while it may be referred to as a "cipher", a "dialect", or a "language", Leet does not fit squarely into any of these categories.

So, with that sorted, here is STAR WARS subtitled in LEET. Enjoy.
